Through strokes, lines and forms I try to materialize and create an essence with rhythm and motion. Movement, change, rhythm and repetition is everywhere to be seen and to be experienced. I’m atracted by it and observe it in nature and in the manmade environment. Both have a chaotic order in which everything works together.

Chaos, order, repetition and metamorphosis - it all comes back in my work in which the free movement and the structured form appear. In this world/society I move freely within the structure it offers. The dualism between freedom and order is a meeting that I often experience.

My paintings are both inspired by my own thoughts and emotions and by what goes around in the world. All of that may connect on the canvas or claim its own spot in the strokes of paint.

We've been fascinated by your stunning and powerful abstract art research where forms, rhythms and colours create such a intense and emotional results like in 'Chaoscomfort, ritme & beweging', 'Stadsplan, ritme & beweging #3' and 'Nachtblind'. We reckon your art will bring new and creative stimulations among this exhibition; your works reveal their power through the brightness of colours, through the different effects of forms, the textures, the pictorial matter, the magnetic energy which springs from the canvas. - Paola Trevisan, curator 'Traces of Memory', Ferrara, Italy

Your work is absolutely innovative... - Studio Het Arsenaal / Jan des Bouvrie
